Following Through on Goals

Following Through on Goals

On New Years Eve millions of people set themselves one or more goals in order to improve their lives in 2008. Popular goals include giving up smoking and getting out of debt, but by far the most popular are health related goals such as getting fitter, or losing weight.

But it’s a sad fact that within 2 weeks 30% will have given up, and after 1 month this figure rises to 50%, as old bad habits begin to creep back in.

After 6 weeks, only 40% of people are still committed to their goals, and of these only 20% will go on to achieve long term lasting success…

The reason? Bad habits are easy to form, whereas good habits are hard to form…

If you are wavering on your 2008 goals at the moment, why not take heart from our hapless hero “Gary” in this short but wryly observed and amusing little clip…

As the movie says, “Don’t be a Gary!”

Good luck with all your goals in 2008!
