Lessons from Wolves

Lessons from Wolves

Do you believe it is possible that we could learn profound lessons about personal leadership, teamwork and the achievement of our goals simply by observing the behaviour of a pack of wolves?

Well consider this:

Even though there is a strict and rigorous hierarchy within the pack, when hunting for food or defending their territory, wolves demonstrate a tremendous capacity to act as one.

The power of the collective becomes so much more than the sum total of each individual – as Rudyard Kipling once quoted, “The strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.”

So what does this teach us?

Simply that if we can learn to collaborate with those headed where we want to go in life, then we become more powerful than we would be as a mere collection of individuals. It also teaches us that when we have a sense of community and focus, we create trust, and can help each other to achieve our goals.
