Since writing to you last week I saw the Robin Williams film “Dead Poets Society”, which has to be one of my all time favourites!
You know it doesn't really matter how old or young you are; how rich or how poor you are; what kind of education you have had or even how you have chosen to live your life up to the point you have reached, here, today, right now...
Nature does not determine your future by what you have done in your past. Each day is an opportunity to start afresh; to begin over and to "seize the moment".
In the film Robin Williams' character, the English professor John Keating urges his pupils to "CARPE DIEM – to SEIZE THE DAY”.
Arnold Bennett, the famous author in his book “How to live on 24 hours”, makes a very interesting observation also when he says;
"Waste your infinitely precious commodity as much as you will and the supply will never be withheld from you”.
“You can only waste the passing moment. You cannot waste tomorrow; it is kept for you. You cannot waste the next hour; it is kept for you.” …………… WOW!
So how do we "SEIZE THE DAY"? How do we start?
In answer to the question "...how do I begin?" Bennett says ….. "well, you simply begin. There is no magical method of beginning."
If a man was standing on the edge of a swimming pool, wanting to jump into the cold water, and asked you, "How do I begin to jump?" you would simply reply, "Just jump. Take hold of your nerves and jump!"
I hope you will take the same inspirational messages from Bennett's work as I have done and that you will use his words as encouragement and motivation to "SEIZE THE DAY" for yourself.
If you haven't already taken advantage of the valuable timeless wisdom in Bennett’s book, then please feel free to do so from the Champions Club download area.
Remember, changing the way you think in life WILL change the results you get!
Good Luck
