The 21 Day Challenge

The 21 Day Challenge

We all have moments in life where we doubt ourselves – where we question our abilities to deliver in one way or another…

And we all have times where we feel inadequate or where we just haven’t performed to the best of our abilities, and the easy and natural thing is to excuse away our behaviour in some way;

- I was too tired to perform properly;
- I am too old (young/fat/thin);
- It is too difficult for me;
- I’m not good enough to succeed at this.

But what if it were possible to totally remove the doubt from your vocabulary and your thinking – what if nothing were out of the realms of possibility in your life? Do you think it would change your outlook on life, and do you think it would change the results you achieve in your life?

If you doubt this, then why not try the 21 day PMA (positive mental attitude) challenge. That is, for the next 21 days, simply refuse to accept any negative or limiting beliefs to affect your attitude or your behaviour – when you do find a negative thought creeping in to your mind, make an immediate conscious effort to replace the thought with a positive more empowering one.

You don’t necessarily have to believe that this will work for you to reap positive rewards – you just have to try it for 21 days. As Brian Tracy states, “It takes 21 days for a chicken to hatch an egg. If the chicken can sit on the egg with full confidence that it will hatch, with no outward signs that anything is happening, then the human mind can do the same thing to change its patterns of thinking.”

So for the next 21 days, each time your mind reminds you of what you don’t have, and can’t do, stop for a moment and ask yourself, “How can I achieve my goals with all the wondrous gifts I do have?”

Good luck and stay focused!
