Did you see the recent post on Champions Club regarding the Law of Attraction? The video clip is actually a compilation of scenes from a film called “The Secret”, which is based on the correct understanding and application of the law of attraction in our daily lives.
The film asserts that people's feelings and thoughts attract real events in the world into their lives, through the natural laws governing the whole of the universe. Written by Rhonda Byrne, she claims to have discovered the “secret”, or the law of attraction, whilst browsing through a book written almost 100 years ago.
And still today, this fundamental law – the Law of Attraction – forms the basis of the teachings of almost all contemporary personal development gurus and underlies many of their development programmes… Such is the power and longevity of this simple law.
But before there was Tony Robbins, Bob Procter, Brian Tracy, Earl Nightingale, or even Napoleon Hill, there was a man named Charles Haanel…
Charles Haanel was the author of the book which Byrne was reading when she discovered “The Secret”!
If you have never heard of Charles Haanel, then you shouldn’t be too surprised, for Haanel and his original writings on the law of attraction are somewhat of a secret in themselves!
As Napoleon Hill would do in later years, Charles Haanel studied and researched the secrets and keys which form the timeless principles the Universe. He took his knowledge and put it together into a twenty-four part educational course that became The Master Key System. He began to share these findings with some of the world's wealthiest people sending them a new section of the course on a weekly basis, and it is rumoured that this elite group benefited so much from his teachings that they begged him to never publicly publish this course.
Although he did eventually publish his course as a book, the book mysteriously disappeared from public consciousness for many years... until fairly recently when some of the handful of copies came to light.
It has been said that while he was attending Harvard University, Bill Gates discovered and read The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel. It was this book that inspired him to drop out of University and pursue his dream of "a computer on every desktop." You probably know the results…
