Which Path Will You Choose?

Which Path Will You Choose?

Pioneering Life coach and Peak Performance expert Anthony Robbins has helped thousands of individuals to achieve their full potential in life, including corporate CEOs, heads of state and Olympic athletes, as well as millions of ordinary people across the world though his best selling books and audio programs.

Robbins states that:

“It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.”

And that:

“One decision can change your life forever.”

This wisdom was also stated, albeit not so directly but perhaps more elegantly by American poet Robert Frost, as long ago as 1916 in his poem “The Road Not Taken”:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

However, the inference from Robbins’ quotes and Frost’s poem are the same;

Whenever we reach a fork in the road of our own lives, we face a choice. The choice to continue down the well trodden path - the safe option that most other people take, or the less trodden path that brings with it both risk and potential opportunity.

By taking the safe option, we can be fairly certain of the outcome, as many others have trodden it before us. But the question is, are the vast majority of the population wealthy? Are they healthy, vibrant and full of life? Are they truly achieving their full potential in life?

The truth is, if you are to achieve extraordinary things in your life then you most likely will need to make different choices to the masses when you reach your forks in the road – to follow the path less trodden, as these will be the choices that in the end will make all the difference!

Choose your path carefully, and be sure to make the most of every opportunity in your life!
